May 1st, 2011 Kai Wang PhD Student External Graduate student visitor travel award ($5250) for 3-month (May 16-August 15, 2011) collaborative research at NCAR as part of the Graduate Visitor Program under the NCAR’s the Advanced Study Program (ASP).  His research project will focus on the improvement of secondary organic aerosol treatment in WRF/Chem, in collaboration with Drs. Mary Barth and Alma Hodzic, Atmospheric Chemistry Division at NCAR.
May 1st, 2011 Timothy Glotfelty MS Student External Graduate student visitor travel award ($3750) for 2-month (June 1-July 31, 2011) collaborative research at NCAR as part of the Graduate Visitor Program under the NCAR’s the Advanced Study Program (ASP).  His research project will focus on implementing the specific and necessary details needed to link the National Urban Database and Access Portal Tools (NUDAPT) data to WRF to enhance its capability to better represent urban land use, in collaboration with Dr. Fei Cheng, Research Application Laboratory, NCAR and Dr. Jason Ching, Institute for the Environment, UNC-Chapel.
