It would be nice if we could get them through the menu, but for now, here's a work-around that avoids a lot of extra clicking or typing. ********************************************************************* NOTE: you should only have to make this softlink once... it will remain even after you logout. So, from the second time on, you can go straight to nsharp and browse to the dataset you want. In your home unity directory, type: ln -s /meas/real/model model ********************************************************************* add nawips nsharp (then, from menu) Load --> Model Soundings ----> Select Model ------> Browse --------> under the directory menu, double-click on the "model" directory (the softlink you made above) ----------> select a model subdirectory... reliable choices include ruc, nam, and gfs ----------> scroll all the way down the files menu to get to the most recent model run, and then select the 211 grid... note: most of the other (non-211) model grids aren't compatible with forecast soundings... special note: nsharp can plot a sounding using the 212 grid, BUT because the surface mixing ratio is missing, it DOES NOT correctly compute CAPE, CIN, etc. Let me know if this doesn't work for you.
